Gluten Free Schar Multigrain Bread

Last night I was complaining to my roommate that all I wanted was some wheat bread!! I'm tired of cardboard slabs of gluten-free white toast. Admittedly, I have not been very adventurous in trying new kinds of breads that are out in the market. I went over to Roche Bros. because they have a good selection of GF foods and my health food store was already closed. There I found Schar multigrain bread.

When I got home I made some scrambled eggs and toasted up some slices of the bread. While it was toasting I was so surprised that it smelled like there was real wheat bread in the toaster!! The taste was really good, not the real thing, but still, it satisfied my craving. I am impressed. Today for lunch I'll have beef stew and a slice of multigrain toast.

Nice! I'm a big fan of their multi-grain bread too. Roche Bros seems to sell-out of that kind quickly, but always has the white kind so I tend to stock up when I see it.

Whole Foods doesn't carry Schar brand stuff, so I think I'm out of luck unless I order online. Looks tasty, though!

I was reading your blog, which I happened upon by accident, but have you tried Grainless Baker mock rye, or pumpernickel? There cinnamon raisin is also excellent!
