How's it going?

Hey gang, sorry for the lack in posts. I've been keeping busy lately! So what have I been up to? Well, eating of course, so let's talk about that first. The Paleo diet started out strong and for the most part I felt great. I did notice that my breath wasn't so great and that I couldn't sustain much physical activity without completely draining all of my energy in a very short period of time. I also found that there would be days where I was so sick of a big helping of meat with a side of veggies that I dreamed about bowls full of (gf) pasta. Not because I was craving it, simply because I was sick of what I was eating. I did try to change it up and make different foods but it got to the point where the thought of eating another bite of chicken or steak or pork made me want to gag. Thus began the slow slide back to carbland. However, I started to find that when I did give into the carbs, I actually never felt satisfied. I crave the cleaner meals. I love vegetables! I eat veggies at just about every single meal and I am not happy when I don't have them. Can't be any happier about that. Also, my stomach has been in top shape. When I do indulge in the refined carbs, I feel a little bloated but I've still managed to avoid cramping, pain, nausea, and my movements are perfectly normal. ;-) Do I plan to go back to strictly Paleo? Honest, I don't think so. I do enjoy eating close to Paleo a lot of the time and will continue to do so, but I will allow the carbs here and there. I know some people out there think that Paleo is the best way to fight a disease like mine, but I'm not 100% sold. People find healing many ways and I have found great healing up to this point. Quite frankly, I think life is already too short, why not enjoy cookies?? You all know how much I love my treats!

What else is new? I'm guessing you want to know what's up with the guy.... right? Yeah, I know! Well things are going great. Better than great. I don't have any new home cooked meals to share yet, but I'm sure I will again sometime soon. You know I don't get into the personal details here, but just know that's I'm really, really happy. :)
