I have a problem.....

Hello, my name is Jen, and I'm a sugarholic. **Hi Jen**

I had a stressful day yesterday, so I went to b.good for lunch and had a burger on an Udi's bun and then went over to Whole Foods for a snack. I wanted something different and these happened to catch my eye. I haven't tried these yet and had heard good things, so grabbed them. The thing about me is when I get something sweet, it's best for me to get something in a single serving. Otherwise THAT ^ happens. I bought that package at lunch yesterday. It is 10:40 am. They are gone. I have a problem....

Last night I went out for my first full length practice run. The 5K is THIS SUNDAY and I took off a bunch of time from training during that nasty sinus infection and then we had terrible weather. I have run a couple of times in the past week and it was a struggle at first but last night I finished all 3.2 miles. It took me 45 minutes, but that's because I had a NASTY side stitch.. probably from the half package of cookies I ate. I had to walk a lot but I know that I'll do better with my time on Sunday. The plan is to not eat any sugar for the rest of the week. No cookies, no ice cream, no cake, nothing! I'm so frustrated with my diet lately!

If you are wondering how those Kinnikinnick cookies are, they are fabulous. A cross between Chips Ahoy and Soft Batch. Obviously I loved them...

I have a package of these cookies in my kitchen and I have been hesitant to open them for the same reason... I would eat them all.

Good luck in your race.

That's exactly why I don't buy anything like that! I've been making muffins with unrefined sweeteners and they are satisfying without causing a binge. We had a celiac walk last weekend and I ate more sugar and junk food in one afternoon than I've had since Christmas! We had their doughnuts there for breakfast! Yum!

Those cookies sound really good. I just found out this past weekend that I am allergy to gluten and casein. I found your blog through my search for information. I hope to learn alot through you and many others out there.

Good luck, and God bless.
And, yes, I'm out of cookies too. But you'll have to run for me, because I can't seem to run well in this boot cast. lol

I'm the same way with cookies/sugar and toward the end I tell myself if I just finish the bag then it's better because the temptation is no longer there. It's a hard struggle!

You will do great on the 5K. I did Couch to 5K last spring and ran my first 5K last fall, just get into your own groove and go at your own pace. You will be so proud when you cross that finish line!

Haha Cindy I do the same thing! If I just eat the whole damn bag now, then they'll be gone and I won't have to worry about them anymore!

Thanks for the encouragement. I can't wait to cross that finish line. I keep telling myself the same thing, I'm just going to try to pretend like I'm the only one running and just go.
